 — (MDT, UTC-06) — (MDT, UTC-06)

Events happening from St. Francis, KS to Beecher Island, CO

We have been blessed to know Cowboy Rick Hamby for several years now as a wonderful Christian man who lets his faith shine from his love of history, especially the Old West. Follow along as the crew travels with horses and the stagecoach from St. Francis, KS up through the Arikaree Breaks (where the last remaining buffalo was killed in Kansas) to Beecher Island with it's amazing history of the battle at Beecher Island with the warrior Roman Nose, to Ft. Wallace and it's rich history of Col. Custer and more!! I will keep you posted every day on Facebook from the trail as to where we're at and what is happening that day. Right now here is the tentative schedule: Saturday, June 6th St. Francis, KS ~ visit with kids and seniors at the rest home. Sunday, June 7th (Barry will be in Boise City, OK but will rejoin that afternoon). However, the stagecoach and crew will start moving toward Beecher Island and arrive there on Wednesday, June 10th. Thursday the crew will be traveling to Wallace, KS (MOUNTAIN TIME). Remember you are ALWAYS welcome to join us by horseback, wagon, train, plane, automobile, or ride the coach!! Friday, June 12th is going to be AMAZING as a group of descendants FROM IRELAND of Capt, Keogh (who was killed at Custer's Last Stand but was stationed here as the Fort commander in KS) will be at Ft. Wallace!! What an incredible opportunity to come! The stagecoach will make a run to nearby Pond Creek and all of its history, then back to the museum. Saturday, June 13th, stagecoach run to Fort Wallace cemetery, chuckwagon meal at the museum, short fundraiser and then Barry and Journey Crew for evening entertainment!! Whew! Come and join us!!! If you want to ride the stagecoach at any given time or have any questions about the schedule, please contact or text JD at 620-874-0479 For more details, give JD Perry a call at the Ft. Wallace Museum.
